We are a friendly congregation based in our church building located in Calcutt Street, close to the centre of the historic Saxon market town of Cricklade.
On Sundays our morning hour of worship usually starts at 10.30am and there is an evening hour of worship starting at 6.30pm. Messy Church - aimed at families with young children (11 and under) - takes place at 4pm on the first Sunday afternoon of each month (except January and August).
During the week there are regular House Groups. Prayer meetings take place every Monday and Friday mornings, as well as fortnightly on a Tuesday lunchtime and monthly on a Thursday evening.
We are also active in the community. There is a Friendship Guild that meets fortnightly on a Wednesday afternoon, a flourishing Baby and Toddler group every Thursday morning during term time at 9.30am, and a well-attended coffee morning from 10am every Friday, at which Fair Trade products are available for sale.
As part of Churches Together locally, Cricklade United Church hosts Cafe Theos (a lecture and discussion evening on different aspects of theology, ethics, and contemporary issues) and a Holiday Club for children annually (typically during the Easter School Holiday). We support the inter church events that take place during Lent and throughout the year.
Our World Concerns Group focuses our prayers and financial support on a designated charity each year: currently this is Embrace The Middle East.
